Reception have loved reading and learning the story of ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’.
We have thought of actions for the words and acted it out many times. We know it so well now, we don’t even have to look at the book!
In literacy we have been doing our neatest handwriting and best sentences to write the story. We have also made story maps and labelled them.
What you could do at home:
Ask your child to retell the story. Do they know it without needing to look at the book?
(There are versions available on YouTube if you need a little reminder)
Can you change the story a little to make it your own? Instead of it being Jasper’s Beanstalk, maybe it could be a different characters beanstalk?
