This week we will look at number 9. We can start with singing our number songs. Where is number nine in the number line? Which numbers is it in between? Is it a big or little number? How many different ways can you find to make 9 with your fingers?
Is it a big number or a little one? Which numbers does it sit between?
Go for a number nine hunt when you go out for a walk. How many different number 9’s can you find? How many different things can you find of 9? Can you find 9 spoons or 9 forks in your kitchen? Can you do 9 claps? What about 9 foot stomps? Is there someone in your family that has the number 9 in their birthday? Maybe it’s the day, month or year they were born or perhaps it’s how old they are. Is your sister or brother 9 years old? Write and let us know please!
Write 9 with your magic finger. It goes round like a circle and down – an easy rhyme to say while having a go is ‘a loop and then a line, that’s the way we make nine’. Write it in the air, on your elbow, on your knee, foot, arm.

Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.
