Non-chronological Reports

This week we have been learning about non-chronological reports.

We read a range of reports and discussed what features they had in common and what we liked about them. Then we highlighted the features of a non-chronological report.

Have a look at some of our work below:

We then collected information about our class teachers and used all of our knowledge to collaboratively write a non-chronological report about them. We made sure our sentences were clear and factual.

Next week we are going to be using our class model to write our very own non-chronological reports about ourselves!

How to support your child’s learning at home:

  • Explore some non-fiction texts and discuss the features of them (Headings, factual, diagrams, labels etc)
  • Share facts about yourselves during dinner time. Encourage your child to describe their appearance, favourite foods and hobbies using clear sentences.
