Our Parent Council plays a huge role in our work on parental partnership.
Research indicates the immense impact parental involvement makes in pupils’ achievements and we strongly believe in the influence parents and carers have in their child(ren)’s education. At Merry Hill, we have a small group of parents (two representatives from each class), who are called our Parent Reps (Representatives). The aim of this committee is to:
- Support the school in the education of our pupils
- Represent the views of parents and carers
- Act as a bridge between our school, parents and carers and the wider community
All parents can provide the school with a clear understanding of how the school can support and involve them in their children’s learning and development. Parents can also support the school, Ms. Adams and the governors in further developing partnerships and in the development of our school improvement areas.
