Pets

Hello Year One,

I have been talking to lots of grown ups at school and to some of my friends about ideas of what to do when the weather isn’t that great. What do you do to keep busy when it’s too wet to go for a walk or play in the garden? I’d love to hear some ideas!

So far, we have been playing board games and card games like Snakes and Ladders, Monopoly and Uno. We have also been enjoying making creations from playdough and junk modelling and writing letters to our friends and family that we haven’t seen for a long time!

My children have also been enjoying building dens and having home cinema afternoons – we make popcorn and have juice : ) Sometimes we watch films and sometimes we watch tv together. We have particularly been enjoying watching ‘My Pet and Me’ on CBeebies. It teaches you about different animals and how to care for them.

Next week we will be telling you all about some of our pets! Do you have any pets? We’d love to see some photos and hear all about them – do they have an unusual name or can they do any tricks? Does your pet need lots of exercise and cuddles? Is your pet furry or does it fly?

Look out for our pet blogs next week!
