This week has been about bees and butterflies!!After lots of careful observation – our butterflies emerged out of their cocoons – over the space of 24 hours they all popped out when we weren’t looking! On Thursday afternoon we took them outside and let them out in the Nursery Garden – as they emerged from their net they even landed on us!
We have been learning about bees – about how they get nectar from flowers – and even how the bees tell each other where to go to find the best flowers! We did a waggle dance (do ask at home for them to show you!) and we have listened to the Flight of the Bumblebees by Rimsky-Korsakov. On Friday Mrs Bence told us all about keeping bees in a hive and we even got to taste honey!! It was yummy yummy in our tummies!!Sports-Day-Nursery-2425-June-2021.docx.pdf (53 downloads)
Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.
Take care, stay safe and see you soon!
