Merry Hill Infant School and Nursery was last inspected by Ofsted in December 2023, achieving ‘Good’ for our overall effectiveness and ‘Outstanding’ for our Early Years provision.
Ofsted stated that pupils are proud to attend Merry Hill and staff warmly welcome pupils each day. Respect and kindness towards each other are key and strong relationships with staff are established from the moment our pupils step foot in the door. Ofsted recognised that our pupils are motivated, work hard and achieve well, including those who are disadvantaged. Our carefully designed curriculum meets the needs of the pupils and our teachers help pupils to confidently use subject specific terminology to explain their ideas and develop a rich body of knowledge.
The Inspector commented on parents’ satisfaction with Merry Hill and the excellent partnership that is cultivated between home and school.
