Return to Parents’ Information

Parent Partnership

We value greatly our partnership with parents and have an open door policy at the end of each day for parents to pop in and see their child’s class teacher to discuss any queries or concerns

The start of the day is a very busy time for the teachers and teaching support staff, so we request that non-urgent issues are not raised as you are dropping off your children. However, there is an information book at each classroom door for messages, e.g. about changes to going home arrangements.

The Headteacher is often on the playground at the start and end of each day, so please feel free to approach her with any informal questions, or make an appointment via the school office if a longer conversation is needed.

We care about what you think

If you have comments to make about Merry Hill Infant School – whether compliments or concerns – we will always be happy to hear from you. We hope that most issues can be dealt with informally but please see the protocol below if you feel you need to complain about something.

Parent View

You can also record comments on Parent View (Ofsted’s website), which gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about Merry Hill, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. The survey can be completed at any time; you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.  The information provided will be used by Ofsted when making decisions about which schools to inspect and when.
