Each week we work hard in our music lessons with Mrs Goodwin. We enjoy learning lots of new songs and using the instruments. We have worked particularly hard on our use of vocabulary and are good at using the words tempo, pitch and dynamics. We use retrieval practice to recall the definition of these words within lessons. Every time we revisit these words, the meaning is reinforced. Sometimes Mrs Goodwin calls out the word and we give the definition and sometimes she gives the definition and we call out the word.
We love looking at our music floorbook to retrieve our prior knowledge.
This week we created a group performance of our minibeast song. Some children played tune percussion while others played untuned percussion. Watch a sneak peak of our performance here, or look on Seesaw for the full version.
