What a cold start to the week we had! However we used it to our advantage and made some ice for the children to explore – we watched it melt, felt it and bashed it with our hammers! We also played with shaving foam, which was great fun and especially interesting to see what happened when it froze overnight! Outside, we also had a wrapping station – practising our skills wrapping presents – the adults had such fun being given them to open afterwards with such imaginations of what they had ‘wrapped up’ in each box.
This week we have also been learning about Hanukkah and one of our activities was making Menorahs after learning about this celebration. We hope you like them!
The Children have also been busy making some Christmas crafts which the children can bring home next week to show you – lots of glitter and glue were used in the process! On Friday the children got to explore the woods (in our suits as it was VERY muddy!) but what fun! We looked about, checked to see what we could find in the bug hotels and at the feeding station and watched our ice candle (talking about the effect of the candle on the ice) – it was so pretty!
Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.
Take care stay safe, and enjoy the weekend!
