This week in Nursery…

Hello Nursery,

We started this week with a lovely trip up to our mini explorers forest, where we were on  a special mission to find some sticks for our firework/sparkler project.  The children had great fun dipping their sticks in the sticky glue and then dipping them into some very sparkly glitter.

We also practiced our fireworks yoga again, with Mrs Mitzman because we enjoyed it so much. We also spoke about the fireworks we had seen at the weekend and what colors we spotted and what sounds we heard like “wizz, phzzz, and bang!”.

We have also been practising our talk for writing hand signs. Using phrases and words such as once upon a time, first, next, after that, and finally.  This has been a big success and the children have really enjoyed it. Talk for Writing techniques support children when retelling stories, helping them to sequence.

Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.

Take care and stay safe,
