The children in Reception have been working hard to, “Explore the natural world around them,” (Development Matters 2021). We have been learning about the importance of looking after the environment and the part we can play in caring for our planet.
This week we have taken time to observe birds in our environment.
In our Mini Explorer sessions we have been listening to birdsong and trying to note the similarities and differences between common garden birds.
This week we have made bird feeders using cheerios, twigs and wool.
We cannot wait to try out our bird watching skills in our new bird watching shed too.
