A festive cheer 🎄

This week in Nursery we have been very hard at work as always and we took on the extra challenge to help Santa get ready for the big day!

We practiced our fine motor skills this week by making heaps and heaps of paper chains to decorate the classroom and although we might be a bit biased, we think our classroom looks amazing! In Santa’s workshop, the children have been very busy wrapping presents and measuring how much paper they will need.  It has been a real pleasure watching them enjoy the sheer magic of this lovely time, having to cooperate, share and even wait their turn!

We have also celebrated Hanukkah in class for the last week and made our Star of David decorations.  The children were fascinated by the story of the Maccabees and learning about another festival of lights.

If this has not been enough learning to pack into an already full week, we also practiced our Christmas performance! The children have put 100% effort in and we are all super proud of them, showing patience (rehearsals take a very long time!) resilience and confidence.

Enjoy the festive season with your families and we hope you have a well deserved, restful Christmas break.  We are already looking forward to seeing everyone in 2024!

Lots of love,

Mrs Jones, Mrs Gavriel, Mrs Hill & Mrs Currie
