Reports
Over the last two weeks we have been learning how to write a report. Firstly we learnt a report about big blue whales. We practised this until we were confident retelling the report. We do this so we learn the language of a report which will support us to write our own report independently. We now know that a report has a title, an introduction, subheadings and information.
Next, we created a class report about white arctic wolves. Our teacher helped us to create the report together ensuring we included all the features from the blue whale report that we learnt.
Next week we will be choosing our own animal to write a report about. We are very excited!
How you can help at home:
– Practise finding information about an animal through reading books, asking questions or researching information on the internet.
– Write sentences using information and facts.
