This week in Nursery . . . .

Hello everyone!

At the start of the week – how windy was the weather?! We made the most of the wind and made kites – you might have seen them – it was such fun! We were still discussing the Olympics as we know lots of you were watching the coverage at home. We had our own go with some homemade bobsleighs and tried curling – we think there are some future Olympians in the making!

Our topic is ‘Dig a Little Deeper’ but we are now thinking about ‘growing’. We  made play dough that smelled lovely and practiced planting ‘seeds’ into it with some rice.  If you are growing things at home do tell us and send us some pictures! As well as reading the story ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’  for Literacy we talked about about a  traditional tale that featured a beanstalk –  do you know it? What other traditional tales do you know –  maybe you read them at home?  We are starting to make some mood boards thinking about Spring – we used some spring colours in our painting and our mood board will be revealed when we have finished it!

Outside we have some some lovely creativity – from animals interacting, building standing stones, to having a quiet hot chocolate with friends to warm us up! We love seeing the children’s imaginations shine!

Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.

Take care, stay safe and have a lovely weekend!
