We have been very busy since returning to school, preparing for Diwali celebrations. On Monday we had a special assembly where we learnt all about why Diwali is celebrated and the story of Rama and Sita. We got to work and made our very own divas out of clay. Shaping clay was a new skill for many of us, it felt really soft! Once our divas dried we used glitter paint to decorate them.
We continued the celebrations this afternoon with thanks to Neha (Carter’s mum) and Minal (Rayan’s mum). The children worked together to build and decorate lanterns. Everyone was so creative with their designs! Finally we came together and shared the story once more before finishing the day with a Diwali themed disco!
Happy Diwali everyone!
