In our new English topic we have learnt how to read and write explanations. We have learnt our new model text ‘How to look after a monster’ based on the book ‘ Monsters: An Owner’s Guide’.
During the week we designed and created our own monsters from play dough while following the explanation. We also had an unexpected visitor one morning from a monster who had not been looked after properly. This taught us the importance of reading explanations carefully by following the ‘Do’s and Dont’s’.
