This Week at Nursery

Hello Children,

We hope you have had a good week?! We have loved seeing your pictures and emails that your adults have sent us telling us what you are up to at home. From making dinosaur fossils, practising numbers, making a ‘bird seed pizza’ for the squirrels, sounding out words, riding you bike and practicing your yoga moves – all your activities sound amazing and such fun! A huge ‘Well Done Nursery!’ (To adults and children alike!).

At Nursery we have been following the same activities. This week we have enjoyed learning about dinosaurs; discussing for example what they look like, their size, what they might eat, and making our own non-fiction book about them. We have been crossing the river in our Phonics activities and we enjoyed playing noisy neighbour. In Child Initiated Learning (choosing time) the children have played together in lots of lovely made up games of their own creation and there have been lots of crafts on the go. We have also been outdoors when it wasn’t too wet both in our play area and we went on a listening walk in the school field. We heard birds and cars and even an aeroplane – we think – as we couldn’t see it in the clouds.

Please keep sending in emails and pictures about what you are up to at home – we love hearing about what you are up too!

Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.

Take care, stay safe,

The Nursery Team
