This week in Nursery . . .

Hello everyone!

This week in Nursery we have been looking for dinosaur teeth in the woods. We talked about the differences between a carnivore and a herbivore. Some of the the stones are sharp and pointy like  meat eaters teeth and some are smooth and flat like plant eating dinosaurs.

Outside we have had lots of fun in the tuff tray – finding our names hidden in the rice, mark making with water and mud and  and inside we made cakes with our play dough and added cinnamon and ginger to make it smell amazing!

We have also been talking about the Olympics and watched a little bit of some of the sports.  We discussed  setting goals and some children want to be a ‘cooker’ or a ballet teacher when they grow up! We talked about how Olympians have to practice very hard and keep trying even when they fall over.  Have you seen how fast and cool the free style skiers are with their jumps? The ice dancers are very elegant and spin really fast.   They’ve worked really hard to achieve their goals.

Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.

Take care, stay safe and have a lovely Half Term break!
