Hello Nursery,
We started this week with our weekly trip to the forest, we sat and listened well while the adults talked us through the sequencing of growing apple seeds. We will be keeping a close eye on the pots and noting any changes we see.
First you need some apple seeds
Next you add soil After that add water
Finally watch and wait, occasionally watering.
Along with continuing with our talk for writing actions, whilst enjoying the story of Dear Zoo, we have been clapping the syllables in our names during our phonics session. The children have responded well with this and it has enabled us to challenge them with counting the syllables in the name of the animals and dinosaurs they play with !
We looked at an alternative way to remember our story of Dear Zoo by showing the children how to draw a story map.
During play some children made their very own.
Until next time, do good looking for adventures, clean your ears out for good listening and turn your noggins (brains) on for good learning.
Take care and stay safe,
Mrs Howe, Mrs Ogilvie-Jones, Mrs Mitzman, Mrs Hill and Mrs Bence
